Patricia is our first leading lady of 2021 so we asked her the questions that we ask all of our leading ladies!
Tampa Housewives: Tell us about your business and how you became the successful businesswoman you are today.
Patricia AndreeWiltens: I’m a Real Estate Agent with Trans States Realty which is a boutique brokerage. I started out in 1998 at a larger brokerage firm and worked at a few different ones through the years. It’s been part of my life my whole life. My father has been in the real estate industry for 30+ yrs. My brother Tony and I partnered up about 4 years ago. I was motivated by helping people achieve their dream of being a homeowner or helping someone getting the best value for their home. Being a real estate agent definitely involves working around other people’s schedules and being readily available. Growing up in a real estate household, I was prepared for small business risks and work demands. In our years of experience, we have encountered many situations and had to figure out many different creative solutions.
Tampa Housewives: Describe yourself in three words.
Patricia AndreeWiltens: Loyal, Giving, and Determined
Tampa Housewives: What are your professional goals for the next six months?
Patricia AndreeWiltens: My professional goal for the next six months is to help 20 families or individuals buy or sell their home. Communicate and interact with a new following on our social media channels through videos and live streams.
Tampa Housewives: What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Patricia AndreeWiltens: I would like to help and advise other realtors and small business owners and build their social media platforms and local community outreach. This can help seasoned agents and new agents that are new to the business as well as small business owners.
Tampa Housewives: How do you maintain a work/life balance?
Patricia AndreeWiltens: You just do. There is no perfect formula. Being a real estate agent and having the flexibility definitely helps. Having support from my husband and family to help with the kids or home. Take time for yourself. I’m a night owl, so that is my “me time” for balance.
Tampa Housewives: What websites do you visit every day?
Patricia AndreeWiltens: Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube for musical inspiration through reggae vibes.
Tampa Housewives: What are your top three favorite people/places/things to do in your city?
Patricia AndreeWiltens: People: my loving, supportive husband Bjorn of 18 years and two sweet and beautiful daughters Indira (10) and Ineke (6.5) Places: Coffee Shops, Hard Rock Casino, Pretty much anywhere with family and friends Things to Do: Theme Park Busch Gardens, Riverwalk, Tampa Theater
Tampa Housewives: What is your goal for retirement?
Patricia AndreeWiltens: To volunteer and give back to the community.
Tampa Housewives: Do you have any advice for women who’d like to start their own company?
Patricia AndreeWiltens: Do it! Be prepared to sacrifice time as you rebuild your company. Be prepared to fail and pick yourself right up again. Stay current and relevant. Challenge yourself and try different things.
Tampa Housewives: Any final comments?
Patricia AndreeWiltens: Love to see empowered women support each other! Makes my heart smile. For me, my family is everything. I have the most amazing parents that define positivity and kindness. Everything I have been able to accomplish is because of the values they taught me!
