A couple of weeks ago an artist contacted me about possibly building a logo for me. I am just getting started with this blogging thing and said maybe next pay period. As I was looking at their beautiful artwork. I was thinking how can I do this a little cheaper. The quality of the work was well worth the price they gave but since I don’t have an influx of cash I decided to search for apps that might do something similar. There are many apps on the market that can make you into a comic. Ultimately I choose ToonApp by Lyrebird the icon looked like it would work for my purposes.
ToonApp by Lyrebird studio was my quick and cheap cartoon icon solution. The app was 14.99 per month but after the month of making cartoons out of pictures, I have a wide range of logos to use and play with.
The app as easy as point, shoot, crop, and convert. There are many color schemes and frames. My suggestion is to take your best headshot and convert it into your logo. The downside seems like it is portrait-based. Whole-body shots may be supported but ideally, it focuses on headshots. Overall love this app it is fun and can prove to be helpful if you want to use a cartoon-like logo for your business. Another negative is pretty much more than two people in a portrait gets really glitchy. Otherwise for my logo purposes and to entertain my students I do recommend buying the application short term My children and I have had a lot of fun with it.
