Oh, what a night!   Our Girl’s Night Out event at Dangerous Minds Brewing Co. was a huge success!  Dangerous Minds Brewing Co. provided the perfect location for our event.  There was a nice breeze all evening, the pizzas were enjoyed by many and then there was their amazing beer.  We had 110 attendees and lots of vendors .  Almost everyone was decked out in bold and blue outfits, which was perfect for our event.  A video of our event can be found here.

Our Charity Spotlight was In Jacob’s Shoes.  In Jacob’s Shoes, provides shoes, backpacks and school supplies to children (0-18 years of age) in need in South Florida. Many of these children live in poverty, are homeless, or live in shelters. Some live in foster care or have “aged-out” of foster care. All are in need and together we can help make a difference.

Together,  we were able to raise 21 new pairs of shoes, 111 gently used shoes, 9 socks, 1,332 school supplies and 10 backpacks.  Thank you to everyone that was able to participate in helping make a difference to so many children in our community.

Another big element to our Girl’s Night Out event was having local women artisans and businesses exhibit their work.  Many of these wonderful ladies had giveaways at their tables and some of them were absolutely delicious.  I’m talking about our friend, Shanna Benson with Benson’s Bakeshop.

Be sure to keep these local businesses in mind when purchasing gifts.  Shopping local and supporting other women helps make the world go around.
