Look what’s new in Pompano Beach

We have new electric, ride-share shuttles to make local transit easy and eco-friendly.  These are just a couple of the 100% electric, open-aired rides.  The are low speed vehicles, which means they are completely street legal on roads that are 35 MPH or less.

Yesterday, Scott and I jumped at the opportunity to joined the soft launch rides around town, along with a handful of others.  Circuit thought of everything when designing these sleek new rides.  The 6 seats are equipped with seat belts, there is a plastic lining to separate each row of riders, each rider has their own door to open along with the ability to open their windows.  Everyone wore their masks, and as my first adventure out in over a year, due to the pandemic, I am pleased to say that I felt completely safe.

Check out the back storage area.  This is perfect for storing your luggage or beach equipment, as you ride.  Guests visiting could arrange to be picked up at the bus stop and then using their mobile app, request a ride.  This a lot like an Uber or Lyft ride, except this is free around Pompano Beach.

Scott and I had loads of questions, while holding down the back seat.  We learned that these rides are completely free.  You can leave a cash tip for your driver, if you feel led to, and soon they will add the tipping capability to the APP.  Kids are able to ride the Pompano Circuit, but must comply with state safety guideline requirements.  Rides are available beginning at 10 A.M. each day and service ends at 11 P.M. on weekends.

Our new, free, electric shuttle service begins on April 26th.

This is definitely a fun, free and interactive way to get around by the beach.   I suggest you go ahead and download the Ride Circuit APP to your phone.  Simply open the camera APP on your smart phone and hold it up to the QR code below.  A link will pop up on your phone.  Open the link and the download option will appear.

Once the service begins, you can use your APP to request a pickup at your location.  You also have the option to include your drop-off location.  Or, if there is availability in the open air shuttle, you may flag down the driver for a pickup – providing the pickup area is traffic safe.

The service area map can be found on this website

The service area is between Hillsboro Inlet and south to Terra Mar Drive and to A1A to McNab Park on Atlantic Blvd.  So you can use the shuttle to get to the Pompano Beach, Pompano Beach Fisher Family Pier, Beach Hotels, Beach Shopping, Restaurants & Publix and more.

Let me know when you get your first ride.  I’d love to hear what you think.
