Sensory Play is important and beneficial for your little ones, plus they have a ton of fun while playing and discovering while playing. Sensory play can help promote creativity, discovery, and encourage exploration. It also can help your child develop fine and gross motor skills while playing using repetitive motions. These are just a few of the many benefits that sensory bins can bring to your child.

This easy DIY Rice Bin is something I threw together in less than 5 minutes with things that I had around the house. Just remember when you are putting together a bin for your child it doesn’t have to be elaborate or Pinterest worthy just start with what you have at home. For this bin, I grabbed a pack of rice out of the panty and poured it into plastic bin I had been using to store things in from Dollar General. Then, I dug to the bottom of the toy bin and found all sorts of small toys that would be perfect to add to the bin and that hadn’t been played with in forever.

Supplies Needed:

  • Bag of Rice
  • Clear Plastic Bin
  • Small Toys (repurpose those small toys in the bottom of the Toy Bin)
