Date nights are nice, but I personally love date days because the opportunities of fun and adventure are endless when you have the daytime hours to enjoy it. So I want to share with you one of my favorite day dates in Fort Lauderdale. It combines four things I love: beach, trails, tacos and cocktails!

Head to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park for a walk through nature trails, feel like a kid on the swing, Take a photo under the beautiful tree then walk along the riverfront. This State park is filled with tropical hammocks, nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.

After a walk around the park, stop into Park and Ocean for lunch and a few cocktails or beer. I love this place! We go often, so I can say that I am a fan of the rotisserie chicken tacos and the Spiked Arnold Palmer or if in a beer mood, they usually have my favorite in stock (Golden Monkey). Emi enjoys the burgers and checking out what is on draft. The casual, natural setting of this restaurant bar is fabulous for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Fort Lauderdale weather.

Park & Ocean has a rustic-chic, 2,700-square-foot interior with warm lighting. The restaurant can seat up to 60 guests at tables and up to 20 guests at its bar facing the ocean. Outdoor seating is available on the 3,000-square-foot patio area underneath a beautiful Sea Grape Tree canopy and can seat an additional 100 guests. In addition to the beach views, breeze and live music frequently,  it also offers a variety of outdoor games on the patio including giant Jenga, bocce ball, corn hole and chess and checkers tables.
