Hi, ladies! I’m Katie and I’m your new Director of Marketing + Events for Charlotte Housewives. I can’t wait to meet you all in person over the next few months, but wanted to introduce myself now. I’ve lived in the Charlotte area since the end of 2004. We’ve lived all over the area: Mooresville, Sherrills Ford, University, Uptown and now in Mount Holly just barely outside of Charlotte. I love this city and I never plan to leave.

I love to travel. App State Football is my #1. Luke Kuechly will always be my LB. Any super bowl without Tom Brady is a good one. I’m literally a professional student at this point, working on degrees 4 & 5 simultaneously. I will never turn down good ice cream. Benny Pennello’s is the best pizza in CLT.

I’m not new to the Housewives in the City brand, and certainly not new to Charlotte. I’ve been running the Gaston County chapter of HITC for almost two years now. That’s so crazy to think about! I fell in love with the community of women supporting women when I attended a Charlotte Housewives event at The Broken Spoke three years ago and the rest is history! There are so many things to love about Housewives in the City:

I love the community of women we build within our city. New friends, new business connections. It’s truly something special. I’ve seen so many groups of women at our events and hearing them say that they met at a Housewives in the City event makes all of the hard work that goes into running one of these groups totally worth it! Our events aren’t like all the others. You don’t have to come just for professional connections. We cater to ALL women. Stay-at-home moms looking for friends, professional women looking to broaden their sphere of influence, retirees looking to get out of the house and have some fun. No matter who you are, you’re welcome with us!

I love the way we support local businesses. We travel to different venues every month to give you the opportunity to experience new restaurants, hangouts and entertainment venues, to help bring awareness to the amazing venues we have right here in the Queen City. We also partner with new featured businesses every month, helping connect our audience with local businesses that offer the products and services you need, right here in our community. I’m big on SHOPPING SMALL and SHOPPING LOCAL. As a small business owner myself, I know how hard it can be to do it all on your own. That is why, with Charlotte Housewives, it’s my mission to bring awareness to the amazing female-owned businesses we have here in Charlotte.

We’re just a group of women, supporting other women, supporting our community and having fun doing it.
