With things being just a little different for the Big Game this Sunday, we’ve rounded up some simple, affordable, fun appetizer options that are sure to please the whole family!
First up, we’ve got Chicken & Waffle Sliders! There’s a few options for these delicious apps. For a bite size, super easy option you can grab frozen chicken bites from Walmart. You may recognize the bag, Pinterest shows the Sam’s Club version as the closest to a Chick-fil-A stand-in as you’ll get from the store. Pair these chicken nuggets with frozen mini waffles and secure with a toothpick or skewer. If you’re looking for something a little larger, grab the Julian’s Belgium waffles from Costco! I’ve linked the Amazon listing to give a visual of the packaging, but don’t recommend paying 2-3 times the price of Costco. For your chicken, either fry up your own, purchase fried chicken from the store, or GO BIG and purchase plain filets from Chick-fil-A.
Next up, we have individual mini pizzas! We love this idea because it also gives the kids something to do – let them make their own! This 12-count of flatbreads make the perfect mini pizzas. This also gives you the opportunity to keep half your batch plain and simple for the kids and add a bit more flavor for the rest of the family.
We’re also here to jump on the charcuterie board bandwagon, but have you seen dessert charcuterie boards? We’re obsessed! The best part of charcuterie for just the family – NO RULES! Just add your favorites and enjoy!
Taco cups! Grab a bag of scoops tortilla chips, lay out on a serving platter, add meat, cheese, lettuce, sauce, or your taco toppings of choice and create individual, ready to eat nachos.
Make-your-own chicken minis! If waffles aren’t your thing, grab and bake these small yeast rolls and the chicken bites linked above to create quick, easy, made-at-home chicken minis.
We hope you enjoy these family-friendly appetizers! Be sure to tag us @clthousewives if you make any of these recipes!
